While silent witness may have been the breeding ground southern discomfort suggests a visit to the middle ground where extraordinary individuals endure. While most of us would have surrendered, the collective courage and strength of the Magnolia State stands as an example that despite mother nature’s attempts to destroy, bury, and displace the spirit of those who still make their homes and lives in Mississippi and the Gulf Coast could not be extinguished. To those who have lent support and those reading along for the first time, thank you on behalf of both old and new friends in Mississippi as well as the thousands who continue to suffer due to the lack of concern from a government without a conscience.
